What is frosting/wet spots?
Frosting is a white, powdery appearance on the surface of a candle, particularly with natural waxes like soy wax. It occurs due to the crystallization of the wax.
Wet spots are common issues that occur when the wax contracts as it cools, causing it to shrink away from glass.
Neither condition effects the burning of the candle or the scent throw.
What does scent throw mean?
Scent throw refers to the distance and intensity a candle's scent will disperse throughout a room.
What causes those holes in the wax as it's burning?
Those holes are known as sinkholes which form in the wax setting process. The wax around the edges and the wick cools more quickly that the rest of the wax. Sinkholes, for the most part, don't affect the burn of the candle. Large sinkholes, however, can lead to uneven burning, soot and less scent throw.
What do I do if my candle container gets broken during shipping?
Breakage rarely happens as I am very thorough with my packaging. But...it does happen. Please send, to me, a picture of the item along with a picture of the shipping label. Once received a refund will be processed.
How are your items shipped?
I ship USPS ground.
How do I take care of my candle?
Tip #1: Trim the wick to about a quarter of an inch before lighting the candle. This contributes to a safer, cleaner burn.
Tip #2: After your candle has been burning for a while, a small pool of wax forms around the wick. Gently pour off excess wax. This prevents the wick from moving around and causing an uneven burn.
Tip #3: Burn candles in sessions of around 2 -4 hours (depending on the size of your candle), allowing them to liquefy completely across the top. This helps prevent tunneling, where the candle burns down the center, leaving wax along the sides untouched.
Tip #4: To maintain the candles quality, store it in a cool, dark place.
Tip #5: Drafts can cause candles to flicker unevenly and can lead to a less than ideal burn.
What ingredients go into the candles you make?
I use 100% pure, made in the USA, soy wax and all natural essential oils.
I do use dyes to color the wax. Please keep away from children. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting and call your doctor right away. If it gets in the eyes flush well with water. Use care when handling the candle in its liquid form and the dye may cause staining of clothes and skin.
** The candles I make are purely decorative and not recommended for burning as I have used a clear acrylic sealant to protect the candle contents such as the wax flowers, the moss, the wax hearts, the miniature figurines, etc.
Side note on shipping candles when the weather is hot:
Please arrange for someone to be home when your candle is delivered. You don't want it sitting out in the hot weather and open your package to an already melted candle 😢
What do I do if I accidently put the wrong shipping address on my order?
Hey, accidents happen!! If you realize that you put the wrong address before the candle is shipped please send me a message via Etsy and I'll correct that for you. Unfortunately, if the candle has already shipped there really isn't anything I can do. If it's returned back to me I will contact you so that you can arrange payment for reshipping.

Do you photo shop the pictures of your candles or jewelry?
No, I don't photoshop. I do edit the photos to make sure they're centered and clear. On occasion I have used the brightness feature if the photo is too dark and the sharpness feature if the photo is a bit blurry.
